Hello! My name is Jalila El-Haddar, and I am the Co-President of Beta Alpha Psi - Beta Chapter for 2025-2026. I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Economics. I grew up in a variety of countries outside of the US, which allowed me to broaden my perspective and value individuals for their differing opinions. Today, you can always find me cooking, reading fantasy novels, and trying to combine travel and work into one.
My favorite thing about BAP is the exposure it gives students to careers in the field of accounting and to professionals within the industry. Through our weekly meetings, Meet the Firms, and VITA, young students get the opportunity to explore their passions and interests early on, which can lead to a more stable and successful future.
Position Description
The duties of the President include carrying out the policies of the chapter, exercising general supervision over the activities of the chapter, organizing professional and volunteer events, weekly newsletter emails, maintaining Intranet reporting to National Chapter, and presiding at meetings of the chapter. In the absence of any officers, the President is responsible for their roles and may disperse those responsibilities if they feel the need to do so.
