Weekly BAP Meetings
In each meeting, professionals and recruiters from CPA, private, and government firms discuss various accounting and early career topics.
From these meetings, you gain a deeper understanding of various career fields and opportunities and dive into technical topics and important, relevant trends occurring in the workforce.
Professional Meetings are open to all UO students. You do not have to be a pledge, a member, or even an accounting major to attend. In addition to the weekly topic, these meetings are a great opportunity to learn more about the accounting field and network with your classmates and professionals.
Following each meeting, there is time for socializing, networking, and one-on-one conversations with the professionals.
For weekly updates on Professional Meetings, please contact our VP of Membership to be added to our mailing list.
Meet the Firms & Career Fairs
Meet the Firms is the University of Oregon’s premier accounting career fair, featuring more than 30 employers from public accounting, industry, and government. This event provides students with a direct opportunity to connect with recruiters, ask questions, and explore various career paths. For many students, it serves as the first step toward securing internships and full-time positions, making it a vital part of recruitment season.
Beyond networking, Meet the Firms enables students to hone their professional skills, gain insight into various practices, and leave a lasting impression that can shape the beginning of their careers.
Networking Events
We organize site visits to firms and companies in Eugene, Portland, and other cities throughout the year, giving students a valuable chance to step inside professional environments and see what a career in accounting or business looks like in practice.
These visits go beyond a traditional career fair by allowing students to experience workplace culture firsthand, ask questions directly to professionals, and build connections in a more personal setting. For many students, site visits provide clarity on career paths, help spark new interests, and often serve as the first step toward internships or job opportunities.
